Tukuche Peak in the early morning sun from Lete. Tukuche Peak (6920m) was first climbed on May 10, 1969 via the Dambush pass and northwest face by Swiss expedition leader Georges Hartmann, Alois Strictler, and Sherpa Sonam Girmi. Three days later Ruedi Homberger and Andreas Hirsbrunner repeated the ascent of the main peak.
